I've run across two new Auburn scores recently:
12/6/1917 Auburn 57 @ Opelika 0
10/14/1932 Auburn 6 @ Langdale 19
Also, a few corrections:
1911: Score should be Auburn 5, Sidney Lanier 11
1929: I'm pretty sure Auburn didn't play Sidney Lanier this year. I think there was a mix-up between Macon County & Lanier HS of Macon, Ga. that somehow ended up in my record book as Sidney Lanier. I can't find any evidence that this game was played.
1943-1945: Games played on 10/1/43, 10/28/44, and 10/26/45 were vs. Starke University School, not Hurt Military. The two schools merged later, but at this point were separate schools with separate teams.
1954: The scores are reversed on the Auburn-Opelika game, should be Auburn 0, Opelika 19.
1993: Scores should be:
Auburn 12, Greenville (GA) 19
Auburn 21, Carver (Montgomery) 20
1998: Scores should be:
Auburn 17, Lanett 14;
Auburn 24, Spencer 6;
Auburn 0, Benjamin Russell 17
Auburn 7, Central 32
Auburn 0, Opelika 31
1999: Score should be Auburn 16, Eufaula 17.
