Raycom Media announced plans to televise 18 high school football teams during the 2016 season. Stations in the network include WAFF TV 48 (Huntsville), WBRC Fox 6 (Birmingham), WSFA TV 12 (Montgomery), WDFX TV 34 (Dothan) and WTVM TV 9 (Columbus, Ga.).
2016 RAYCOM HIGH SCHOOL BROADCAST SCHEDULE
11th ANNUAL CHAMPIONS CHALLENGE AT MONTGOMERY
Aug. 18 - Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa vs. Demopolis, Game 1, Cramton Bowl, 7 p.m.
Aug. 19 - Hoover vs. Central-Phenix City, Game 2, Cramton Bowl, 7 p.m.
Aug. 20 - Andalusia vs. Brooks, Game 2, Cramton Bowl, 7 p.m.
REGULAR SEASON
Oct. 6 - Spain Park at Thompson, Simmons Stadium, Alabaster, 7 p.m.
Oct. 13 - Cordova at Hamilton, Sargent Stadium, 7 p.m.
Oct. 20 - Lee-Montgomery at Enterprise, Memorial Stadium, 7 p.m.
Oct. 27 - James Clemens vs. Austin, Ogle Stadium, Decatur, 7 p.m.

No, and I don't remember seeing anything about a schedule last year for 68, either. I looked on their website and it's very outdated. If I see anything come along, I'll post it.

Thanks, when they had the Thursday night game I really enjoyed it. I sure hated to see then go to a Friday night game. In did tape several last year and watch later. I am always at the Piedmont games on Friday nights.

Was this before the Raycom games started being on Thursdays? They might have gotten priority over the local stuff. I know a few years ago Pat Patrick was doing a TV game each week, too, then that stopped. I, like you, am at games on Friday's as well.
I saw y'all's first game is against Cedartown. I go through Piedmont & Cedartown heading to Dallas a lot. I'm surprised there hasn't been more games between the teams, as they're both quite close.
Season starts next week, though SV's isn't until the 26th. SV's playing in a three team jamboree at Pell City next Thursday. SV vs. PC at 5:30, SV vs. Thompson at 7, and PC vs. Thompson at 8. Talked with Coach Etheredge about it. Real nice guy.

Shane the 68 Thursday night games ended about 2 seasons ago. I do think this was about the time Raycom started but I can't get the Rayoom games here. Cedartown is a much bigger school than Piedmont. It should be an interesting night. Cherokee County and Rockmart play just before the Piedmont Cedartown game. It should be a big crowd here Friday night.

Yes, I passed by Cedartown High by mistake one time while they were doing road construction over there and I missed the detour. It's a very big, and nice looking, school. Rockmart is right down the road from Cedartown, too. They're big rivals. Looked them up on the Georgia site recently. Good luck on the season. Is that doubleheader a one time thing, or is it moving to Cedartown next year?

The Raycom station in Birmingham says WBRC-6, but it's the Bounce network on my cable. So if you're in Birmingham and looking for the games at the Champion's Challenge on TV this week, look for the Bounce network. Don't know if it's that way in the other markets.
There's no other games currently on the listings for this week in the Birmingham area as of yet.
