I remember we had a conversation a while back about high schools with same or similar names which brought up the topic about Lee in Huntsville. Lee in Huntsville isn't technically named for Robert E. Lee, but for Lee Highway, which ran in front of their old school. Lee Highway was named for the General, however. All of Lee High's colors and names and so forth allude to Robert E. Lee, though. When they built the new high school a few years ago, all of the students and alumni wanted the name kept. Now just a few years after that, they want it changed.
