does anyone know for sure when the Birmingham post herald first stated doing a basketball all state team. I checked for 1955 and did not find one. |

I do not think the Post-Herald selected all-state teams that far back. The oldest I have from the Post-Herald in 1960. But, to answer your question, I do not know when they began selecting teams.
