I found an article in the Oct 23 1915 Decatur Daily that reports a game played Oct 22 1915 Athens A&M 82 New Decatur High School 0.
Another article states that Decatur High will also have a team in 1915 so we seem to be talking about two different schools. New Decatur colors are Blue and Gold coach Cowart is listed as the head coach

David, There is several mentions of two high schools in the Decatur at that time. Maybe with some ew dates and scores we can get a little closer the figuring out what actually is correct.

I really believe the New Decatur school is what we have as Central Albany. These two schools, like Shane stated, are very confusing. They played games together later on.
I have looked at yearbooks from both Decatur and Central Albany and still can not figure it out. AT some point the two combined I believe in like 1927. The new school became what we know as Decatur.
I have talked with people in Decatur and Bill Plott about this but no one seems to know how the schools evolved. At least I have not found anyone to date. I will look at these and add the ones I can figure out.

Shane I understand it is pretty confusing. The paper I read yesterday did a great job of reporting the games for that time period.

The Decatur schools from that time period are confusing and convoluted. I made my head hurt trying to sort that out.
