 The 1959 Fairhope Pirates were chosen Class A State Champions by the Birmingham News from District 1.
 

 
 

The 1959 Fairhope Pirates used a Notre Dame-style box offense to run through the schedule with a perfect 10-0 record. The team had a couple of close games with hard-fought wins over Bay Minette 14-13 and Alba 7-0.
