Today we will explore 6A football in Alabama and the 2010 season. Two schools moved up to 6A over the off-season. Carver Montgomery and Carver Birmingham finished the 2009 season on opposite ends of the win column with 10 and 0 wins respectively.

Few true football fans would argue that Region Six is the strongest in the state but actually Region Seven had a slightly better winning percentage last season. Region Six finished 50-40 while Region Seven went 49-38. Region Four pulled up the rear with a 42-49 record.

The big question in 2010 for Class 6A is can someone, anyone knock Hoover and Prattville off the mountain. Each season there are contenders but come semi-finals time they seem to fall short of their lofty goals. This year's list of contenders would appear to come from the likes of Auburn, Murphy, Davidson, Bessemer City, Vestavia Hills, Gadsden City and Bob Jones.

How well these teams can compete with Hoover and Prattville will remain to be seen for a couple of months. Honestly, anything less than a rematch of last season's Super Six game will be a surprise. No matter the match-up for the State Championship in December it will be a great time had in Auburn. Hope to see you there.

Once again we threw all the teams in the back of the pickup and drove around in a open field. As they blew out of the truck we came up with this article. This is our projected order of finish for 6A.
