2017 Season Scoring Averages




Week 8            (10/15/2017)

Maplesville once again tops the list of highest scoring offenses this week with an average of 55.0 points per game after six impressive victories. They are followed by Wadley (52.5) and Central Phenix City (49.6).

The Wadley defense is proving to be one of the best across the state by allowing opponents to score at a rate of just 5.5 points a game. Oxford and Fyffe are also allowing under seven points per contest this season.

The usual suspects are listed among the teams defeating their opponents by the greatest margin. Wadley (47.0), Maplesville (44.5) and Fyffe (41.6) are proving to be among the better teams in the state this year.

Calhoun finally scored a few points in 2017 but still are at the bottom of our list for least efficient offenses. They are actually tied with Asbury with an average of just 1.7 points per game. The Calhoun defense is giving up an average of 58.0 points per game.
