Region 2

Smiths Station 

Adam Fossett resigned as the head football coach at Childersburg to accept the same position at Smiths Station after four seasons at the school. His teams went a combined 23-21 and 1-3 in the postseason playoffs.

His last team at Childersburg finished 2-8 which was the most losses by any team in his eight year career at Winterboro and Childersburg. His overall record stands at 53-36 and 3-6 in the playoffs.





Region 3

Tuscaloosa County 

Bart Sessions takes over the head coaching duties at Tuscaloosa County in 2016. He has served as the defensive coordinator at Spain Park the past two seasons.

He was the head coach at McGill-Toolen from 2011-13 with a record of 34-5. His last team reached the semi-finals of the playoffs before falling to Auburn. Prior to arriving in Mobile, Sessions served as an assistant coach for Prattville during their championship run.





Region 4

Buckhorn 

John Holladay will return to the sidelines in 2016 as the head football coach at Buckhorn after three seasons away from the game. He is a graduate of Graceville FL and played football at UAB prior to receiving his degree from the school.

Holladay went 52-20 overall and 5-6 in the playoffs in six seasons at Walker. His previous head coaching stops were at Clay-Chalkville (2005-06, 19-5 record), Hamilton (1999-2004, 47-24 record) and Brilliant (1996-98, 12-18 record).

His record stands at 130-67 overall and 13-13 in the playoffs in 17 seasons as a head coach.

Great Moments in Alabama High School Football History

Collinsville completed the 1931 season with a record of 1-4-5. The five ties will forever be a state record since all games are now decided by overtime.
