Summary:
           Robert Shelly rushed for 161, including a 67-yard punt return for a touchdown, as Lamar County won their second state championship. They also won a Class 2A title 1967. Lamar County scored off the opening kickoff on a 74 yard, 14 play drive, on quarterback Vance Herron's one yard run.
           They made it 13-0 on their next possession when Herron hit Wesley Chism on a 28 yard pass. Lamar County cored twice more in the second quarter to take a 21-0 lead in halftime. First on a safety, then on Shelly's 67 yard return of the ensuing free kick.
           James Baker wrapped up the scoring on a 5-yard run in the fourth quarter to assure the Lamar County win and another title.
