The 1953 Rehobeth Rebels were chosen Class A State Champions by the Birmingham News from District 1.
The Rebels under coaches Warren Jones and C.D Jones, won nine straight games following a season opening loss to Ashford 14-0.
No other opponent scored more than 13 points while the offense rolled up a total of 255 points during the season. They clinched the title with a season ending win over Houston County that bolstered their numbers over Frisco City and Clayton.
