2014 Season Scoring Averages

Week 3 Week 4 Week 5 Week 6 Week 7 Week 8 Week 9 Week 10

                                   Week 3    (9/14/2014)

Five teams are averaging over 50 points a game with a few unexpected teams in the mix. We have come to expect Maplesville, Clay-Chalkville and Edgewood Academy near the top but Lexington and G.W. Long are not usually in this position.

On the other end of this list are Hayden and South Montgomery Academy who have yet to score in three games this season. Well, actually Sunshine has yet to score a point on the football field but are averaging a half-a-point a game since they won the forfeit over Ellwood Christian 1-0 on Friday. Now there is an answer to a trivia question.

Two teams have yet to allow a point on defense in three games. Donoho and Maplesville have refused to allow a team to cross their goal line.

Headland leads the list for most porous defense by allowing 54.3 points in three games.

It appears Maplesville and Edgewood will battle all season for the lead in every category, especially on offense and point differential.
