Charles Henderson vs. Oneonta

It is a dreary day in Tuscaloosa.
Avery Reid scores on the first drive of the the game for Oneonta. His 5 yard runs put the Redskins ahead 7-0.
Early in the 2nd quarter Charles Henderson's Baylor Barnes hits a 26 yard field goal to cut the lead to 7-3.

With 8:33 remaining in the first half, Avery Reid scores again for Oneonta on a 2 yard run. Oneonta leads 14-3 at the half.
Charles Henderson has moved the football in the first half but cannot find the end zone.

Avery Reid scores his third TD on another 4 yard run to put Oneonta up 21-7 early in the fourth quarter.
Charles Henderson answers with a 3 yard run by John Johnson. 21-10 Oneonta.
Brock Latta scores on a 22 yard pass from Ko Powell. Oneonta leads 28-10
 

Other Notes:

Oneonta wins a title after losing in the Super Six the past two years. It is their third state championship (1972, 2004).
Charles Henderson came into the game averaging 44 points a game but were held to only 10 today.
Charles Henderson QB Charles Ingram set a Class 4A Super Six record with 25 completions and 40 pass attempts. The 40 attempts tied the record.
