Maplesville vs. Pickens County

Pickens County strikes first on a 2 yard run by Jermarcus Brown. PAT is good PC 7-0.
Maplesville comes right back and scores on a Colby Chambers 1 yard run. The PAT is blocked and PC leads 7-6 at the end of the 1st quarter.
Maplesville held the ball for almost eight and a half minutes in the 1st quarter.

Pickens County scores on a Jermarcus Brown 34 yard run to take a 14-6 lead.
Damian Mitchell scores on a 22-yard run for Maplesville but the 2 Point conversion is no good. PC leads 14-12 at the half.

Devonte' Simon scores on a 7 yard run to put Pickens County up 20-12. PAT is no good.
Devonte' Simon hits Patrick Plott on a 17 yard scoring strike but the 2 pt. conversion fails. PC leads 26-12 at the end of the third quarter.
Jermarcus Brown is closing in on 200 yards rushing through three quarters. He has 185.

Jermarcus Brown scores on a 54 yard run for his third TD. 2 pt. fails. PC 32-12.
Darrien Latham runs for a 6 yard touchdown. PAT is no good. PC leads 38-12.
Damian Mitchell scores for Maplesville on a short 1 yard run. 2 point pass is incomplete. Pickens County leads 38-18.
 
 

Other Notes:

Maplesville scored 751 points this season. That is the third most in history behind Demopolis (761) in 2004 and Elba (752) in 2011.
Pickens County rushes for a Class 1A Super Six record 452 yards on 47 carries. It is also the second most rushing yards in any classification.
Pickens County also set a Class 1A Super Six record for most total yards with 472.
Jermarcus Brown ran for a Super Six record 331 yards on 26 carries and 3 TDs.
