 2018 Preview

Pisgah completed the 2017 season with a 4-6 record. Last year Pisgah just missed making the playoffs with a fifth place finish in Class 3A region seven with a 2-4 region record.

Pisgah was inconsistent offensively last year and they need some improvement if the Eagles want to be competitive. They only averaged 18.5 points a game.

Since 2010, Pisgah has gone a combined 34-49. Their 41.0% winning percentage ranks 39th in Class 3A over the past eight seasons.

Over the past 25 seasons, Pisgah has managed to compile a record of 121-139. Their 46.0% winning percentage ranks 38th in Class 3A and 235th in the AHSAA.

The Eagles will be under the direction of new head football coach Luke Pruitt as they enter the 2018 season.

The Pisgah Eagles will play in Class 3A region seven during the 2018 season.

With a little luck and some improvement, the Eagles could find themselves challenging for one of the playoff spots for region seven this season. Pisgah has failed to qualify for the playoffs since 2014 but hope to return to the post season this year.

The Eagles open the 2018 season at home against non-region opponent Woodville on Friday, August 31 at Sam Kenimer Stadium. Last year the Woodville Panthers finished with an overall record of 4-6 and in fourth place in Class 1A region six. The Panthers lost in the first round of the Class 1A playoffs to Hackleburg by a score of 49-19.

Pisgah and Woodville have met a total of 2 times on the football field. The Eagles have a 2-0-0 record against the Panthers. They last met in with
