Jemison completed the 2017 season with a 5-6 record. With their 2-4 region record and a fourth place finish in Class 5A region three, the Panthers earned a spot in the playoffs in 2017. Jemison's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to Vigor by a score of 55-7. Since 2010, Jemison has gone a combined 39-46. Their 46.0% winning percentage ranks 35th in Class 5A over the past eight seasons. Over the past 25 seasons, Jemison has managed to compile a record of 150-114. Their 57.0% winning percentage ranks 23rd in Class 5A and 125th in the AHSAA. The Panthers are led by head coach Van Clements who is entering his fourth season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 10-21 over the past three seasons at Jemison. Under his direction the Panthers have qualified for the playoffs a total of two times. They have not won a region crown with Coach Clements. Coach Clements' overall record as a head football coach in three season stands at 10-21 (32.3%). The Jemison Panthers will play in Class 5A region three during the 2018 season. With a little luck and some improvement, the Panthers could find themselves challenging for one of the playoff spots for region three this season. The Panthers open the 2018 season on the road against non-region opponent Thorsby on Thursday, August 23 at Susan Bentley Field. Last year the Thorsby Rebels finished with an overall record of 8-3 and in second place in Class 2A region four. The Rebels lost in the second round of the Class 2A playoffs to Goshen by a score of 42-8. Jemison and Thorsby have met a total of 21 times on the football field.
