McKenzie's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to Sweet Water by a score of 47-6.

Since 2010, McKenzie has gone a combined 50-25. Their 67.0% winning percentage ranks 11th in Class 1A over the past seven seasons.

Over the past 25 seasons, McKenzie has managed to compile a record of 135-142. Their 49.0% winning percentage ranks 27th in Class 1A and 198th in the AHSAA.

The Tigers are led by head coach Tony Norris who is entering his third season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 13-8 over the past two seasons at McKenzie. Under his direction the Tigers have qualified for the playoffs a total of two times. They have not won a region crown with Coach Norris.

Coach Norris' overall record as a head football coach in two season stands at 13-8 (61.9%).

The McKenzie Tigers will play in Class 1A region two during the 2017 season.

McKenzie enters the 2017 season with a string of 6 consecutive wins on their home field at Williams-Vickery Field.

The Tigers should be in contention for a playoff spot in region two this season. They will be looking to gain an advantage by hosting a first round postseason game.

The Tigers open the 2017 season at home against non-region opponent Ariton on Friday, August 25 at Williams-Vickery Field. Last year the Ariton Purple Cats finished with an overall record of 6-5 and in third place in Class 2A region two.
