Keith completed the 2016 season with a 6-5 record. With their 4-2 region record and a third place finish in Class 2A region four, the Bears earned a spot in the playoffs in 2016. Keith's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to New Brockton by a score of 45-16. The Bears improved in 2016 with their first winning season since 2012. The Bears last playoff victory came during the 1995 season. They would love to break through this year with a post season win. Since 2010, Keith has gone a combined 39-37. Their 51.0% winning percentage ranks 25th in Class 2A over the past seven seasons. Over the past 25 seasons, Keith has managed to compile a record of 112-157. Their 42.0% winning percentage ranks 39th in Class 2A and 267th in the AHSAA. The Bears are led by head coach Harry Crum who is entering his seventeenth season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 67-100 over the past sixteen seasons at Keith. Under his direction the Bears have qualified for the playoffs a total of eight times. The Keith Bears will play in Class 2A region four during the 2017 season. The Bears will be in the mix for one of the last two playoff spots in region four this season. The Bears open the 2017 season on the road against non-region opponent Winterboro on Friday, August 25 at Bulldog Stadium. Last year the Winterboro Bulldogs finished with an overall record of 6-5 and in third place in Class 1A region four. The Bulldogs lost in the first round of the Class 1A playoffs to Isabella by a score of 46-6. Keith and Winterboro have met a total of 2 times on the football field. The Bears have a 0-2-0 record against the Bulldogs. They last met in 2016 with Winterboro winning by a score of 28-14. Keith returns 2A All-State Senior linebacker KyWoine Thomas.
