 2017 Preview

Fairview completed the 2016 season with a 5-5 record. Last year Fairview just missed making the playoffs with a fifth place finish in Class 5A region six with a 2-4 region record.

Since 2010, Fairview has gone a combined 43-32. Their 57.0% winning percentage ranks 23rd in Class 5A over the past seven seasons.

Over the past 25 seasons, Fairview has managed to compile a record of 136-139. Their 50.0% winning percentage ranks 31st in Class 5A and 190th in the AHSAA.

The Aggies are led by head coach George Redding Jr. who is entering his eleventh season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 63-44 over the past ten seasons at Fairview. Under his direction the Aggies have qualified for the playoffs a total of six times. They have not won a region crown with Coach Redding Jr..

Coach Redding Jr.'s overall record as a head football coach in ten season stands at 63-44 (58.9%).

The Fairview Aggies will play in Class 5A region six during the 2017 season.

With a little luck and some improvement, the Aggies could find themselves challenging for one of the playoff spots for region six this season. Fairview has failed to qualify for the playoffs since 2013 but hope to return to the post season this year.

The Aggies open the 2017 season on the road against non-region opponent East Lawrence on Friday, September 1 at Eagle Stadium. Last year the East Lawrence Eagles finished with an overall record of 2-8 and in seventh place in Class 3A region eight. The Eagles closed out the regular season with a loss to Hatton by a score of 44-38.

Fairview and East Lawrence have met a total of 6 times on the football field. The Aggies have a 3-3-0 record against the Eagles. They last met in 2016 with Fairview winning by a score of 56-14.
