Woodville completed the 2015 season with a 4-7 record. With their 3-3 region record and a third place finish in Class 1A region seven, the Panthers earned a spot in the playoffs in 2015. Woodville's season came to an end in the first round of the playoffs when they fell to Victory Christian by a score of 33-19. No team at Woodville ever won more games in a season than the four victories last year. The Panthers qualified for the playoffs for the first time in the school's history in 2015. The Panthers have never won a playoff game in the school's history. They would like to break through and pick up that first post season victory in 2016. Woodville struggled on the defensive side of the football last year. The defense found little success in stopping opposing offenses as they gave up an average of 35.6 points a game. Since 2010, the Woodville football program has struggled with a record of 10-51. Over the past 10 seasons, Woodville has not won much with a record of 12-89. Their 12.0% winning percentage ranks 57th in Class 1A and 381st in the AHSAA. The Panthers have struggled on the football field with no winning seasons during this time. The Panthers are led by head coach Jay Powell who is entering his third season at the helm. He has compiled a record of 7-14 over the past two seasons at Woodville. Under his direction the Panthers have qualified for the playoffs once. They have not won a region crown with Coach Powell. Coach Powell's overall record as a head football coach in two season stands at 7-14 (33.3%). The Woodville Panthers will play in Class 1A region six during the 2016 season.
