The Westminster Christian Wildcats will play in Class 4A region seven during the 2016 season.

Region seven will be one of the most competitive regions in any classification this season. It will be an uphill battle for the Wildcats if they hope to grab one of the four playoff slots in region seven this season.

The Wildcats open the 2016 season on the road against non-region opponent New Hope on Friday, August 19 at Jack Mitchell Stadium. Last year the New Hope Indians finished with an overall record of 7-5 and in first place in Class 3A region seven. The Indians lost in the second round of the Class 3A playoffs to Lauderdale County by a score of 48-0.

Westminster Christian and New Hope have met a total of 4 times on the football field. The Wildcats have a 3-1-0 record against the Indians. They last met in 2015 with Westminster Christian winning by a score of 21-7.
