 2016 Preview 


       Pisgah completed the 2015 season with a 4-6 record. Last year Pisgah finished sixth in Class 3A region seven with a 3-4 region record and failed to qualify for the playoffs.

       Since 2010, Pisgah has gone a combined 26-37. Their 41.0% winning percentage ranks 36th in Class 3A over the past six seasons.

       Over the past 25 seasons, Pisgah has managed to compile a record of 129-145. Their 47.0% winning percentage ranks 33rd in Class 3A and 222nd in the AHSAA.

Doug Haynes leaves Pisgah after a single season with the program as the head football coach. His team finished the 2015 season with a 4-6 mark.


Anthony Jacks will become the new head football coach at Pisgah in 2016. He spent last year coaching the defensive backs at Pelham.

Jacks was the head coach at B.B. Comer for five seasons (2010-14) with a 15-37 record.



       Coach Jacks' overall record as a head football coach in five season stands at 15-37 (28.8%). Over the course of his career, Coach Jacks' teams have qualified for the playoffs a total of two times .

       The Pisgah Eagles will play in Class 3A region seven during the 2016 season.

       It will be an uphill battle for the Eagles if they hope to grab one of the four playoff slots in region seven this season.

       The Eagles open the 2016 season at home against non-region opponent Section on Friday, August 19 at Sam Kenimer Stadium. Last year the Section Lions finished with an overall record of 1-9 and in sixth place in Class 2A region seven. The Lions closed out the regular season with a loss to North Sand Mountain by a score of 35-0.

       Pisgah and Section have met a total of 43 times on the football field. The Eagles have a 31-12-0 record against the Lions. They last met in 2015 with Pisgah winning by a score of 28-14.
